  • You have a compliance or sanitation standard that requires wet cleaning—healthcare, food processing, pharma.
  • You already run a sweeper, and the scrubber is your second-pass deep-cleaning machine.

Budget for both if:

  • You're managing a facility over 100,000 square feet with both a loading dock (dry debris) and a production floor (wet grime).
  • You have the labor hours to run two machines in sequence.
  • Your floors are in genuinely bad shape. A scrubber alone won't remove years of contamination without pre-sweeping.

If you're still in the middle, rent one of each for a week and measure the results in your own facility. A rental expense of a few hundred dollars beats a $20,000 mistake.

One side note: pressure washers often come up in these conversations.
